Is It Time To Leave Your Job?

Updated: Mar 13, 2023

Are you this close to quitting your job?

Maybe you find yourself increasingly frustrated by little things - how decisions are made, all of the red tape that exists, how you don't have the tools/resources that you need to be successful at your job.

Today I'm going to help you to answer the question "Should I stay, or should I go?"

When you feel like you're ready to leave your job it often begs the questions:

Do I look for the same job at another company?

Do I transition into a new role altogether?

Do I try to make things work where I currently am?

I notice that a lot of times people take the path of least resistance and either stay in a role that bores them, or continue working for a company that they no longer love.

Sometimes it seems like it's easier to just leave things as they are, but it results in you dreading each morning that you have to go to work. You end up being that friend who's always complaining about her job. You end up bringing the stress of work back home with you and it affects your family life.

I'm here to tell you that you don't have to stay in that dead-end job. You don't have to be miserable at work everyday, or dread the start of each day.

The truth is, you have control over your career, whether you realize it or not.

When you take ownership of your career, you’re able to:

Decide what you want for yourself, then take the steps to achieve it.

Realize that your employer/manager doesn’t decide your career path…YOU do!

Feel confident knowing that you have control in the decisions you make and your career trajectory. And if you're not getting the support that you need in this area, then you have the freedom to find what you're looking for elsewhere.

So if you're trying to decide whether or not you want to leave your job, think about what it is that you want to leave. Is it that you want to leave the job itself, leave the company that you're working for, or do you want to change careers altogether? To help you get clarity around your decision to leave your job and what that truly means for you, I want you to answer a few questions to identify the next best step for you.
