ABOUT TONYA

I'M THE CAREER CHANGE COACH FOR WOMEN WHO ARE DONE SETTLING.

I HELP YOU NAVIGATE YOUR NEXT MOVE WITH CONFIDENCE, BECAUSE IT'S TIME FOR A CAREER AS BOLD AS YOU ARE.

Here’s what I have to say to all those people who might be telling you that your ambitions are too big, that it’s too risky to try something different, and that you’ll always have to start from scratch:

I’ve changed careers six times, and I’m not impulsive, flaky-looking on a resume, or stuck back at square one. (In fact, I’ve worked my way up to a senior role with each change, and even increased my salary by 40% in just two years!) But let’s be clear, this isn’t a humblebrag—it’s proof for you that intentionally crafting a career that lights you up is possible!

THESE DAYS, I'M THE CAREER CHANGE COACH BEHIND TONYA EMPOWERS

BUT ONCE UPON A TIME IT WAS ME ASKING, "BUT WHAT ABOUT MY DREAMS?"

I was the shy employee who kept her head down, worked hard, and crossed her fingers hoping that she’d eventually be recognized for it. (Um, how well do you think that went?) Then I eased my way into my first career change when I realized that I’d gone as far as I could in my existing role and was interested in something different.

Add on top of that my roles as a wife, mother, and major supporter of my husband’s entrepreneurial journey, and you’ll see how easy it would be for my own goals to take a back seat.  Except—they didn’t. Because over time, that shy, insecure woman learned to use her voice and advocate for herself at work. (Easier said than done, believe me, I get it!)

And now, as your Career Coach, I absolutely LOVE helping you find your voice and tune into your own sense of self-advocacy, so that you can have the clarity in what you want and the confidence to go get it.

I'M ALL ABOUT MAKING SURE AMBITIOUS WOMEN LIKE YOU ARE SEEN, HEARD, AND VALUED, JUST AS YOU DESERVE

I know the corporate world can feel like it’s set up for everyone but us, and it’s easy to feel overlooked and undervalued. That’s where I come in.

My approach to career coaching is to offer the kind of support that feels like a friend who’s been there (ma’am, the stories I can tell!) but backed up with professional, actionable advice.

Together, we dig deep into the real, the raw, the messy, and the brilliant parts of your professional journey. Because let's be honest, the traditional "work hard and wait, and you’ll climb the ladder" approach? It’s outdated—and confining. You get to decide where your ladder is pointing, and how high you want to climb it.

So around here, we flip the script. You’ll first get clarity on your strengths and real desires, and then the confidence to speak up and make moves. Coaching isn’t one-size-fits-all career advice—I’m your guide on a journey tailored to your skills, your passions, and your goals.

In this space, you are your own biggest asset. Taking control of your career means that you can earn what you’re worth, hold your ground with grace, and find freedom in shaping a career that’s unique to you.

CURIOUS ABOUT MY APPROACH TO COACHING?

HERE'S HOW I'D SUM IT UP...

Empowerment is what I'm here for.

No queen is a stranger to impostor syndrome, and we’ve all felt the struggle for confidence in the workplace. But with practice and support (and a Beyoncé song or two), you can learn to take control of your career, go after what you want, and use your voice. And when you take up space as your fully empowered, bold, brave self? Oooowee, they better buckle up.

LET'S TURN YOUR "I DON'T KNOWS" INTO "I'VE GOT THIS."

Whether you're looking for a hands-on coaching experience, a self-paced course to kickstart your career transition, or a vibrant community of professional women, your career transformation starts right here.
